About Me

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and am fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK with a licence to practice and Specialist Registration.

I achieved my medical (MBBS) qualification at Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. I then completed Psychiatry training within South London and the Maudsley NHS Trust and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPSYCH). I have sub-specialised in Psychotherapy completing higher training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust training program. I am also accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Accrediting organisation for Medical Psychotherapy (ACOMP).

I have had experience working as a psychotherapist across a number of teams within the NHS including the Maudsley Psychotherapy Service, the Lambeth Integrated Psychological Therapies Service at St Thomas’ Hospital, The Tavistock and Portman Adult Complex Needs Psychotherapy Service and the Camden and Islington Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Service. My most recent position has been working as Clinical Lead and Consultant for the Basildon Complex Needs and Personality Disorder Psychotherapy Service within Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

My dual training in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy affords me a breadth of experience in assessing and managing a range of mental health presentations including Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, Bipolar Affective Disorder and Psychoses. I am able to offer both Psychiatric and Psychotherapy assessments. I work primarily using a psychodynamic model of therapy  and am of the developmental school with a Jungian approach.
